Firebaugh's Josh Allen, Reedley College's quarterback in 2014, was named last week as the Most Valiuable Player in the National Football League for 2024.
Allen received 383 points (27 fitst place votes, 22 second place votes and one third place votes) to edge two-time winner Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
It was the closest MVP race since 2016, when Matt Ryan edged out Tom Brady.
Allen is the first menber of the Buffalo Bills to win the award since RB Thurman Thomas in 1991 and the first Bills quarterback to ever do so.
Allen led Reedley in both passing and rushing yards in 2014 before finishing his college career at Wyoming. We are so proud of Josh and all his success.
