Men's Golf Win 4th Straight NorCal Championship & Remain Undefeated Heading into 3C2A State Championship

May 3-4, 2026  -  With two solid days in Seaside, with temperatures in the low 60's and slightly breezy conditions later in the day, the Reedley College Tigers played respectable team golf, and were the CHAMPIONS at the Northern California Regional Championships!!!  The Tigers were better than the Napa Valley College Storm by 21 shots at the end of the tournament!  The Tigers have now won 8 of the last 10 Regionals (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026). 2020 and 2021 were cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a format that matches the best teams from all of Northern California, Reedley came out on Day 1 and played very efficiently, shooting a round of 290 (+2), the best team score of the day, leading Napa Valley's 305 (one of their best scores of the season) by 15 shots. Leading the way for the Tigers was Julian Rombouts, who posted a great round of 1 under par 71, and carded the BEST score of the day! Julian was the only player in RED numbers in Round #1!! Marco Woehler followed with a solid round of 72 (Even).  Brady Foster shot a very nice round of 73 (+1). Leo Eisner and Dante Damico capped the Round 1 scoring for the Tigers by posting scores of 74.  The 290 score placed the Tigers well ahead of everyone else in Northern California.  The Tigers felt they did not play as well as they were capable, and knew that a strong Round #2 would enable them to make a serious run for yet another Northern California Regional Championship!  The next day the Tigers were back on the course, this time starting their round with more sunny conditions for the day, but windier and the greens were more difficult because they were much more firm.  The Round #2 leader for the Tigers was Leo Eisner, who posted a very solid round of 74 (+2).  Leo's round was the 2nd best score on the day!  Marco Woehler shot a respectable round of 4 over par 76.  Julian Rombouts battled hard, making an Eagle on the Par 5 18th hole, and shot a round of 77. Julian's shot from 265 yards out to 8 feet was arguably the best shot of the tournament, and he was the only player to Eagle the 18th hole!!! Dante Damico added a 78 for the Tigers in Round #2 to complete the scoring on the day for Reedley.  The 305 total was the best team score of the day, and gave the Tigers a 2 round team score of 595, good enough to claim their 4-PEAT AS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL CHAMPIONS, and their 9th overall in school history.  The Tigers finished 21 shots ahead of 2nd place Napa Valley College, 26 shots clear of Sierra College and 36 shots ahead of San Joaquin Delta College, the other colleges to qualify for the State Championships next Sunday and Monday in Southern California.  Also of note, Freshman Leo Eisner (74-74 = 148) was the Regional Individual Medalist and named to the All Northern California Regional Team as a result of his efforts. Leo won in an 8-hole Sudden Death Playoff over Will Hutton from NVC!! Marco Woehler (3rd), Julian Rombouts (4th) and Dante Damico (6th) joined Leo on the All NorCal Regional Team, making 4 for the Tigers (or 2/3 of the 6 man team, a 1st in school history!).  Next up on the schedule will be a 12th straight appearance at the State Championships at SilverRock Resort in La Quinta on Sunday and Monday for another 36-hole, 2 day tournament to determine the best teams and individual players in the State of California for the 2026 season!
