The Reedley College golf team played Big 8 Conference Tournament #7 at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione.  This was a neutral site Big 8 Conference Tournament with the MJC Pirates serving as the hosts for the day.  The Tigers played pretty solid golf, shooting a team score of 387 (+32) in absolutely beautiful, sunny weather, with terrific playing conditions.  The 387 total was the 2^ndbest team score on the day for the Tigers. The Tigers had four of their five players who posted solid rounds in the 70's, and had 2 scores in the top 5 individual scores of the tournament!  Leading the way for the Tigers was the duo of Josh Bennett and Preston Castleton, who both posted rounds of 76 (+5).  Ludwig Klingspor carded a round of 6 over par 77.  Chase Bird carded a round of 78. Elias Pettersson rounded out the scoring for the Tigers on the day, shooting an 80.  The Tigers totaled only 8 birdies on the day, and had their Big 8 Conference 1^st place lead trimmed to 8 points with their 2^nd place finish in Ione.  The Tigers' Big 8 record now stands at 46-3.  Reedley now has accumulated 126 points over second place Fresno City College's 118.  The Tigers improved to 49-3 on the season, and are looking forward to Big 8 Conference Tournament #8 at Oakdale Golf & Country Club on Wednesday, April 12^th.  The MJC Pirates will again be the host team for this tournament.  A tee time start is slated to begin at 11:30 am in Mariposa County.
