Tigers finished first in a Dual Team Match against Napa Valley College

On a warm, calm and very beautiful day in Madera at Dragonfly Golf Club, with temperatures in the high 80's, the Tigers finished first in a Dual Team Match against Napa Valley College from Napa County.  Reedley shot a team score of 363 on the State Championship venue for 2023, 2 shots under par for the day for the 5 counting scores and 13 shots better than the NVC Storm (376) team.  The 363 score is one of the best that the Tigers have shot thus far in the 2023 season.  The leading scorer for the Tigers was the duo of Freshman Preston Harris and Elias Pettersson, who both shot terrific rounds of 69 (-3). Preston made 3 Birdies and an Eagle on the day, including shooting a 34 (-2) on the back nine to conclude his round.  Elias also posted a very impressive round, making 3 Birdies and an Eagle as well and shooting a -3 on the Par 5's.  Jack Peters fired a round of 70 (-2), and made 4 Birdies and 12 pars on the day.  Preston Castleton carded a nice round of 74, and Miguel Villa and Ludwig Klingspor each posted 76's to cap the scoring for the Tigers.  The victory for the Tigers leaves them with a 76-5 regular season record.  Next up on the schedule is Big 8 Conference Tournament #12, the final regular season tournament for 2023 for the Tigers, at Madera Golf & Country Club.  A shotgun start is scheduled for 12:00 noon on the 71-year old course in the quaint city of Madera.
